Honor Our LGBTQ Elders Day

Being the Church, Long Beach will be hosting an important forum on May 16 at Grace UMC.  Hosted by the CSULB Gerontology Program, the workshop takes data on LGBTQ older adults and brings it forward as a way of understanding historical barriers and disparate treatment of this community.  Areas included in the workshop:  Trauma, Caregiving, Networks, Education.

We hope that this event on LGBTQ Elders Day will proffer important conversation and awareness around the specific issues that challenge LGBTQ older adults as well as provide support and resources for the community.
