Standing Ovation | A One-Night-Only Jukebox Musical

Standing Ovation is a mystical and moving tale where drag and community reclaim center stage! This original jukebox musical is a one-night-only spectacular you won’t want to miss.

The story follows a group of teens who sneak into a historic queer theater the night before its demolition. There, they’re met by the glittering spirits of three legendary drag performers who guide them on a humorous, heartfelt journey about allyship, chosen family, and building community—even when sacred spaces are taken away.

Expect laughs, tears, and… a STANDING OVATION!

Created by the LGBTQ Center Long Beach’s Youth and Family Services Department, in partnership with CXP Productions, this one-of-a-kind show celebrates the power of queer creativity, collaboration, and community.
