Swing Set Open Mic Night

Join a diverse community of poets and storytellers for Swing Set Open Mic. We’re an affirming, inclusive space to share your poetry, music, or any other form of storytelling.

Swing Set is happily collaborating with The Center and their mission to advance equity for LGBTQ people.

TIME: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Event starts at 6:30 p.m. Doors open early at 6:00 for sign-ups and a mini karaoke party! Join our pre-mic kickback sesh!

The space will be open until 9 p.m. to allow for mingling and community building. Make a friend or two or ten!

SIGN-UP INFO: Sign-ups to share your work on stage start at 6:00 on the day of, first come first serve. Simply write your name on our sign-up sheet! We recommend arriving early to reserve your spot.

CHECK-IN: RSVP checks at the door

Sign in at the front desk and check in with the name on your ticket.

MASK POLICY: We are requesting that people wear masks at this event to help protect the community against COVID, the flu, and other illnesses. Masks will be available at the door. Thank you for helping keep us safe!

PARKING INFO: Lot available + limited street parking

The Center’s parking lot is conveniently located behind the building. It is accessible off of St. Louis Ave. Parking validation is available at the front desk.

There is also limited street parking along 4th St. and surrounding residential streets.

DONATIONS: We want our event to be as accessible as possible, so we are donation-based, pay what you can. Because our Eventbrite RSVPs are free, we ask folks who are able to donate to our Venmo at @swingsetom or in cash at the door. Donations go directly toward labor and supplies to run the event. But of course, we want you, not your money!
